The meaning of the word “Iasi” is healing and has its origin from Ancient Greek Goddess, Iaso. Iaso was the goddess of cures, remedies and modes of healing. She was a daughter and attendant of the medicine-god Asklepios, and worshipped as the goddess of recovery, in the temple of Amphiaraus at Oropus.
Iasi Ensemble is an international musical – artistic ensemble, aimed at the union of different forms of arts and cultures. A set created by the musician – composer Iasonas Psarakis with his collaboration with the music producer Nikolas Gkinis (supervisor sound at the 2004 Olympic Games), with the ultimate aim of healing the souls of people through the healing qualities of art.
Iasi Ensemble soon gonna realiese our first debut musical album “Astris”. Elements of Indian Classical Music – Persian Classical Music – Ancient Greek Classical Music – Sufi Music – New Age Music are harmonized with the association with other arts forms (dance, sculpture, video art etc) create an original and unique art genre. Travel, an ethereal painting where the viewer is enriched by widening the boundaries, watching cultures of different cultures surrender, so that expanding multiculturally spreads out from the limits of his own worldview.
