About “Astris”:

The name of our debut music album, “Astris,” comes from Greek Mythology. Astris was a star-nymph; daughter of the Greek sun-god, Helios, and wife of the Indian river-god, Hydaspes. She symbolizes the sacred marriage of two different cultures and histories.

Similarly, “Astris” is an album of World Fusion music that blends elements of Indian Classical, Persian Classical, Sufi, Ancient Greek, and New Age music, to create a unique cross-cultural genre. An ethereal painting where one is enriched by the dissolving of boundaries and surrender of cultures to a new multicultural rebirth that expands beyond limited world views. All pieces are recorded at 432 Hz, the frequency of the universe.

The album has been honored with six Silver Medals at the Global Music Awards in California, USA, awarded Best World Album at the Clouzine International Music Awards, and has reached top positions on the World Music charts of Ethnocloud and One World Music Radio.
